National Veterans’ Affairs

The Returned & Services League  of Australia (RSL) has several national committees that monitor and act on national veterans’ affairs concerns, including:

Defence Committee – discusses issues of national security and defence capability in relation to the impact on current and future veterans

Defence Personnel and Families Committee – reviews issues that may impact the wellbeing of defence personnel and their families

Veterans’ Affairs Committee – looks at current and future funding requirements for key issues such as entitlements, enhancing Veteran Review Board processes and the changing needs of veterans.

Anzac Awards Committee – evaluates annual submissions for the RSL Anzac awards including the Anzac Peace Prize

National Trustees – oversee the RSL Scholarship and Grants programs

National Tribunal – reviews appeals.
