On Thursday 19th July 2018 the National President of The Returned and Services League of Australia, Mr Robert Dick resigned.

Robert took on the role of RSL National President after the former National President stood aside due to issues that arose surrounding Mr Rod White, which later resulted in the NSW Bergin Inquiry.

During this period Robert has demonstrated his commitment to the RSL by remaining in the position of Chairman and National President throughout some of the most difficult times for the RSL.

On behalf of the Executive, the Board and the members, we would like to extend our appreciation to Robert for his resilience and commitment and wish him well in his future endeavours.

The RSL National Board has appointed Mr John King, State President of RSL ACT to fulfil the role as interim Chairman until such time as an independent Chairman is appointed.
